An estimated 35,000 revelers enjoyed a fun-packed Centennial version of Minerpalooza this past weekend at The University of Texas at El Paso.

Members of the Miner Nation and the El Paso community descended on the P-9 parking lot on the north end of the Sun Bowl to enjoy carnival-style game booths, a wide variety of food and diverse live music acts in the institution’s biggest back-to-school pep rally ever.

Many others filled the Kid’s Zone at Kidd Field, which included inflatables and fun activities such as face painting, dunking booths and a pie toss for the Party of the Century.

Everything was amplified for this year’s event, and organizers said its growing success could lead to additional expansion next year when the event celebrates its silver anniversary. Go Miners!
